Konoko a sore loser? Harry Al-Shakarchi "the number one tome" at Oni Central got sent an amazing full resolution desktop pic (1024x768) of Konoko using the Playstation 2 in way not described on the box. The pic comes by way of Max "of the yellow socks" at Bungie Software. Thanks Max and thanks Harry.

Another new one at the Archives... but ya gotta have Aleph One... which means you need to go to Marathon: Open Source (and while you're there, check out the OpenGL screenshot posted yesterday-looks like more Scenarios are gonna get an infusion of enthusiasm, which means folks should visit the Recruits page and see what they can do. (New scenarios keep coming online there... is anyone answering their cries for help?)
So... you need certain ammo, right? And there isn't any, right? So what's killing those things?

Ah, Sunday. Day of rest, a day for family and friends. AND CARNAGE!!! Marathon New Gloops map at the Archives... find that laundry ticket, or die! Another afternoon of bliss... download it now! Recruits page continues to add new projects looking for workers. You doing your part? No? GET OVER THERE NOW! The Story page is replete with tales of intrigue, skulls, faces, all sorts of mysteries. Did you find that picture of Shecky Green hidden in the Oni screenshots yet?
A new screenshot? Where in the heck did those boys dig that up? And the FAQ keeps rolling along... soon it'll have answers to questions like "Who will be the next president of the United States?"
PC Gamer ran a reader's poll in their April 2000 issue... 50 Best Games of all time. Bungie was represented... by TFL, coming in at number 49. If you didn't vote, shame on you. |

Wowzers. 12 hours of functionality, and already two new projects are listed on the Recruits page. Was this a needed resource, or what? Marathon to Quake3, Marathon in LANfests, Marathon on the rugby field... that Sinclair guy never seems to run out of Marathon news. You think he's making it up? Check the Story page, and judge for yourself!

Oni, Oni, Oni... what's the deal? All the news is about Oni? What about Tribes, for God's sake? What's that? Only Bungie games covered here? Ahhh... Well, anyway, stop by Oni Central for some heartening answers to some sticky questions, and a nice new pic of Konoko showing what consoles are REALLY good for.
Just in time for the rush we're SURE is coming, the Recruits page becomes functional again. Have a Marathon scenario you need help on? Stop by, fill out the "Add your Project" form, and then sit back and watch the volunteers pour in. Okay... maybe they won't pour in. But at least you don't have to wait to see your ad on the page! Electric Games Review have a very favorable Myth: The Total Codex review! Creation Announced Barbarian Valley a new large 2-team or 4-team Myth map set. The full PR announcement can be found at the our Myth site. You can get the map from The Mill. Film reviewers needed at The Mill... apply within. Marathon Operation Vengeance up at The Archives: No need to muck around with Hotline anymore. The Marathon: Open Source page reports that Loren Petrich has begun work on adding OpenGL support to Marathon. And Rhys Hill has updated his DSp version of Marathon.

Marathon The Marathon's Story gets back to its roots, and posts some interesting observations and speculations about the game of Marathon. It's fantastic to see interest reviving! And it's reviving because of the Marathon: Open Source effort, which today sees a new version of Aleph One (mostly small bug-fixes), and some progress towards in-game music (if this pans out, we could see some serious work from scenario maker extraordinaire Hamish Sanderson... cross your fingers!).
